Voyence Integrates Automated Configuration Management Capabilities With IBM’s Network Management Solution

VoyenceControl NG Enhances IBM Tivoli Netcool

Richardson, Texas, July 10, 2006 – Voyence, a technology visionary in automating network change and configuration management, today announced that VoyenceControl NG has been integrated with the IBM Tivoli® Netcool® solution. The new integration module helps eliminate network faults while strengthening IT security — all from the familiar, Netcool management console.

In using VoyenceControl NG, IBM Tivoli Netcool customers will now be able to automate the manual and expensive task of managing configurations across increasingly complex IT infrastructures. The new module reveals to IT professionals exactly how to fix issues and quickly restore business operations by rolling back offline devices to their last known working configuration.

According to leading analyst firm Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), “IT needs to manage according to interdependences rather than isolated components to be effective in providing IT services.” EMA underscores the need for a holistic view across network management processes by further stating, “…better than 60 percent of service availability and performance problems come from configuration errors, the majority of which are due to human error.
