Jinfonet Provides Reporting Layer for Voyence’s New Reporting Suite, Enabling Dashboard Views of Government Regulatory Compliance Status

VoyenceControl NG Compliance Report Manager is a new reporting suite that provides visibility into whether critical network resources are configured in compliance with government regulatory requirements (Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, Gramm-Leach Bliley, etc.), internal standards, as well as industry best practices for change management.

JReport’s pure Java architecture and rich set of application protocol interfaces (APIs) enable seamless integration and customization of reporting within the Voyence offering. The Voyence product “listens” within the network and determines if there has been a violation of required network configurations. This information is then presented to end users through JReport.

The value of VoyenceControl NG Compliance Report Manager lies in the product’s ability to assist the numerous levels in an organization address their specific roles related to regulatory compliance. The benefits scale from assisting executives with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 302 sign-off requirements to enabling IT managers with the ability for tracking approved or non-approved device changes. VoyenceControl NG Compliance Report Manager includes role-based views (reports) to allow the network engineer, network manager, change manager, IT director and CIO to view and manage those areas of compliance for which they are responsible.

Because of JReport’s interactive dynamic HTML output, end users can manipulate specific reports to meet their needs. They can modify, filter, search, sort and drill down within reports to obtain data views relevant to their role in regulatory compliance.

The role-specific, easy-to-understand reports help organizations quickly uncover potential network misconfiguration issues identified by the Voyence product. This allows organizations to address the problem in order to clearly demonstrate policy adherence to internal and external audit committees.

The new Compliance Report Manager contains four integrated families of reports enabled by JReport: Executive-Level View, Compliance Management, Change Management and Inventory Management. Each family contains additional sets of individual reports that convey a full understanding of the network's compliance-ready status.

Executive Level View - Offers a high level visibility and understanding regarding the network’s compliance status as well as all critical change initiatives and policies followed — or not followed.

Compliance Reporting - Provides critical information organizations must have to assess regulatory and non-regulatory (corporate) compliance mandates.

Change Management Reporting - Offers in-depth views into whether or not defined change and configuration management processes are working and being adhered to by IT personnel. Organizations can quickly understand, who, what, where and when changes are made as well as whether those changes are approved or not approved.
