VoyenceControl Achieves ca smart Certification with CA’s Unicenter NSM

First Public Showing of Integrated Network Change and Configuration Management Solution at CA World


CA WORLD, LAS VEGAS, NV, November 14, 2005
– Voyence™ the leading provider of Network Configuration and Change Management (NCCM) solutions, today announced that VoyenceControl has been certified ca smart with CA’s Unicenter Network and Systems Management (Unicenter NSM).

The integrated solution will be demonstrated at the Voyence booth (#282) at CA World 2005 November 13th through 17th in Las Vegas. It has received the ca smart seal of excellence, which is awarded to products that integrate seamlessly with CA solutions, enabling customers to take advantage of best-in-class enterprise technologies while minimizing cost, time-to-benefit and risk.

VoyenceControl provides comprehensive change management, compliance policy enforcement and activation of services by automating and standardizing changes of heterogeneous network elements based on policies and business rules. Market research indicates a vast majority of network outages, performance degradations and even IT infrastructure security threats can be the result of mis-configured or non-compliant network devices.

CA’s Unicenter NSM helps customers optimize service levels across heterogeneous environments by continuously monitoring and managing the availability and performance of complex network systems and infrastructure elements. Unicenter NSM also helps enable customers to maximize the return on their technology investments by monitoring availability and performance across the IT stack in real-time. Thus, IT organizations can locate the source of problems – at the system, application, database, application server or network level – and respond accordingly.

The integration of VoyenceControl and Unicenter NSM improves network availability and reliability and it also extends CA’s Service Availability solution, which helps assure reliable access to IT services, by increasing visibility and understanding of the impact of network changes on service delivery.

The integration provides Unicenter NSM a drill down capability to gain configuration-related information of network devices that support IT services monitored by Unicenter NSM. The functionality helps companies automate their network change and configuration processes, comply with standards and regulations such as ITIL and Sarbanes-Oxley, and provide best-in-class compliance auditing and reporting which are all critical in today’s utility computing and converged network environments.

VoyenceControl is already integrated with CA’s SPECTRUM network fault management solution at several telecommunications providers around the globe.

Working together, the Voyence and CA solutions combine real-time monitoring, root-cause analysis and diagnosis, enabling enterprises to identify and resolve network faults quickly — before business services are affected.
