VoyenceControl NG Sets New Standard For Automated Change And Configuration Management

Design

Virtual Design Workspace - This new VoyenceControl NG feature enables hardware devices to be virtually modeled, connected and configured entirely in software — before actual devices are deployed in the field. Full roll-based security, change automation, and multi-level workflows allow for secure collaboration in the virtual design environment, ensuring corporate change processes are being followed and documented. VoyenceControl NG’s compliance audits assure that created designs and their configurations meet corporate policies and regulatory standards prior to service deployment.

Zero Touch Install - VoyenceControl NG also includes a new feature that will verify hardware identity, update OS images as necessary, push the defined configuration, run diagnostics to confirm proper operation and report the results of the operation to designated recipients. This feature combined with the Virtual Workspace allows the network operator to drop ship devices straight from the manufacturer or inventory, directly to the installation site — eliminating the need for costly truck rolls and device pre-staging.

Change

Industry’s Broadest Integrations – Root Cause/Help Desk/CMDB - The value of configuration management solutions increases exponentially when integrated with other management disciplines, including fault, helpdesk and CMDB implementations. With new adapters, VoyenceControl NG easily integrates with leading management platforms including CA Unicenter-Spectrum, BMC Atrium CMDB and Remedy, CiscoWorks, EMC|Smarts, HP OpenView, IBM/Micromuse and others to help significantly reduce outages and performance issues caused by misconfigured devices — which has been estimated by industry analyst Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) to account for over 60 percent of infrastructure availability issues.

Industry’s Quickest/Deepest Device Driver Support – VoyenceControl NG introduces a new development toolkit for easily adding support for new drives, plus a 30-day-commitment from Voyence to deliver standard drivers.

Powerful SDK/API – Voyence’s new release also includes a powerful SDK/API for integrating with other management systems.

BMC Remedy Integration - Expanding its already extensive support for change management, VoyenceControl NG introduces multi-level workflows via integration with BMC’s Remedy Change Management. This integration allows network operators to efficiently apply a specific process to needed device changes.

Enhanced IP Address Management – This new feature integrates IP address pool management with the change and configuration process. This feature assures the accuracy of address assignment in the network, resulting in a more reliable and available network services.

Element Management System (EMS) Adapter – Scalability presents another challenge to IT managers, with a growing infrastructure that can number in the many thousands of devices from many vendors. With the introduction of the EMS Adapter, VoyenceControl NG will be able to leverage existing Element Management Systems to easily scale to match customer requirements.
